Semi senior accountant role
Integro Accounting is an award winning and established accountancy practice. Our client base is made up of small businesses, freelancers, contractors, property businesses and personal tax clients. As we deal with mostly owner managed businesses, we have a strong emphasis on building excellent client relationships, and delivering an approachable, proactive, efficient and great value service to our clients.
We are recruiting a semi senior accountant to join our team to assist with our growing client base. The role provides an excellent opportunity for the right individual to progress their career and studies within a forward thinking and growing practice.
After induction, the candidate would be given a small client base with full mentorship, with the aim of gradually moving into a full client manager role in line with business growth.
Key responsibilities – but not limited to:
- Liaise directly with clients (within our service guarantee), building and maintaining client relationships.
- Attending client meetings.
- Completion of VAT returns.
- Assisting with payroll submissions.
- P11D return preparation.
- Assisting clients with software packages.
- Performing tax planning exercises for all clients.
- Preparation of self-assessment tax returns.
- Preparation of year end accounts.
- Preparation of corporation tax returns.
- Liaising with HMRC and Companies House.
- Completion of residential property capital gains reports.
- Assisting the admin team with Companies House changes & confirmation statements.
- Working with management on projects.
Skills & personal attributes
- Minimum of 2-3 years working within an accountancy practice environment.
- Knowledge of FreeAgent and Xero is preferable but not required.
- Ideally the candidate would be looking to or is currently studying towards their ACCA qualification.
- AAT qualified accepted, however it is desirable that the candidate is looking to continue their studies.
